Creative Lead (Brand Experience) - London / up to £70,000

Location: London - 3 days in office Salary: up to £70,000

HUC People are recruiting an Creative Lead on behalf of their client, an award-winning Brand Experience Agency.


WHAT YOU'LL DO:


The Creative Lead will take conceptual ideas and turn them into compelling creative, bringing them to life with campaign identities and touchpoints. The agency's clients work with them for their strategic brand experience offering and their capability to blend with other BTL channels, therefore, you will have expertise in 2D & 3D environments, but most importantly working with big-name brands.

  • An active creative role overseeing the concept and design direction for a wide range of projects

  • Work together with the project lead, account teams and other internal stakeholders to develop ideas all the way from concepts to outstanding final designs and execution

  • Ensure that work is of the highest standard, in line with client’s strategic vision and brilliantly implemented.



Responsibilities

  • A senior figure within the agency and an ambassador for our work and culture.

  • Together with the project lead, get under the skin of our client’s challenges across multiple large and complex projects.

  • Develop creative concepts which translate across multiple integrated channels and touchpoints.

  • Understand how ideas will work when applied, propose solutions that work in a real-life environment. Make technical and production recommendations to ensure that creative concepts are delivered as intended.

  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to conceive and design our built environments

  • Effectively present design work, internally and externally, from pitch through to development and delivery. Articulate design ideas clearly.

  • Be a trusted voice of authority for our clients… Build and maintain senior client relationships.

  • Drive the creative work through internal teams, organising reviews / feedback, sign-offs accordingly. Work to internal guidelines of timings and budgets

  • Set the best example with your own design work + generate award worthy work, able to Make a Mark within the Creative Service offering.

  • Oversee quality on agency output to ensure work neither off-brand or off-brief. Review and approve creative inputs (briefs, guidelines, specifications) and outputs (design, artwork) throughout the process to final approval

  • Lead and direct junior designers, artworkers - including freelance resource. Nurture and develop talent.

  • Define best practice for the Creative Process and workflow through the agency. Creates briefs, templates and train and induct teams accordingly.


Capabilities

  • A skilled, passionate designer with a strong creative vision

  • Multi-disciplinary practitioner able to lead work in the many fields we operate in.

  • Able to build a compelling narrative when presenting and ‘selling’ creative concepts. Ability to bring people with you (clients and colleagues alike)

  • Excellent concept development skills + design for production. Present the highest quality solutions to an appropriate finish during the respective project phasing – scamps, mood boards, mock-ups, layouts, etc

  • Champions innovation in Brand Experience through use of new technologies and production methods

  • Understanding of designing for digital and digital outputs

  • Understands Creative team capabilities and offers solutions to skills gaps, through freelance/specialist resource or internal training.

  • Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign

  • Understanding of designing for 3d + digital outputs.

  • Sound knowledge of PowerPoint for producing pitch presentations

Experience

  • +10 years (experiential / design agency preferred)

  • Any design background but must be fully credible in graphic design, an ability to understand/think in 3d & have an insatiable interest in the world of experiential, retail design and brands.
