Graduate Business Development Executive / Bracknell, Berkshire


Location: Bracknell, Berkshire, 3 days in office

Salary: £37,750 + bonus + benefits

The role:


Due to our client's rapid global expansion, we are looking for talented graduates with a passion for delivering exceptional service and generating revenue to join our fantastic global sales teamAfter learning the company's sales processes and developing your sales craft skills, you'll progress to close smaller sales deals in your assigned sector or region.


As a Business Development Executive, you will become immersed in our sales processes and functions and develop new business deals across the region to increase revenue. 


Location:

This role is based in our client's head office in Bracknell, Berkshire.

This is an office-based vacancy and as such we expect all applicants to be willing to commute to our offices a minimum of 3-4 days per week as per our hybrid working policy.

The key deliverables, critical for effective performance:


Sales wins

The role exists to secure new customers and businesses to a set annual target. Your principal aim is to close sales deals after appropriate approvals and following internal processes.


Developing skills

It is critical that you'll focus on continually improving your sales skills and abilities, allowing you to become more and more effective in your role.


Effective communication

As an entry-level role, you're likely to need guidance and coaching throughout your first period in the role. It's essential that you'll be highly communicative with colleagues, your immediate manager and sales management, in general, to ensure you have an effective and well-supported approach to your sales activities.



Key responsibilities:


Product and sales knowledge

  • Continuously develop understanding of key products and technology relevant to our services.

  • Remain aware of industry developments.

  • Illustrate business advantage of our products and services to customers.


Account planning

  • Achieve revenue & margin targets from new customers on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

  • Create and maintain documented account development plans.

  • Work with marketing or other internal departments to proactively identify and target customers.

  • Build sales approaches for specific customer accounts. Develop and maintain an adequate pipeline of opportunities.


Customer relationships & satisfaction

  • Regularly contact and build effective relationships with existing and potential customers.

  • Drive the promotion and sale of additional services to or through the customer.

  • Maintain knowledge of customer objectives and key personnel.

  • Set customer expectations during sales, delivery and throughout the contract.

  • Coordinate internal teams to deliver to customer expectations.

  • Escalate on behalf of the customer as required.




You:


Expected:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject

  • Retail or other customer-facing experience

  • Experience working in a team to deliver a project or task

  • Demonstrable interest and experience in selling a product or concept

  • Interpersonal skills, including effective influencing and negotiating

  • Well presented and able to speak/communicate confidently with customers

  • Numerate

  • Attention to detail, able to spot inaccuracies or inconsistencies in materials

  • Tenacious attitude, willing to put the required effort in to achieve their targets


Desired:

  • Experience using a CRM or similar tool

  • IT/telecoms experience


In order to be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate proof of eligibility to work in the UK or hold a valid work visa if applicable.
