HUC People is working on behalf of their client to find an ambitious Production Manager looking to build a career in the world of Brand Experience. What is important here is that you understand their world of live work – you have been exposed to the Production and Operational requirements of producing experiences on a significant scale.

This role sits within the Production team who use their expertise to guide the feasibility of making the creative vision a reality, their expertise in pre-production planning, working with suppliers and third parties to ensure plans are delivered to time, target and budget, their expertise to oversee live builds ensuring specifications are accurate and in line with expectations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:


A key part of the Production team playing a pivotal role in ensuring the production and operational requirements are managed effectively to time, target and budget. You will be a central figure in supplier relationships and output.



RESPONSIBILITIES:



The agency:

  • Understands principles of Brand Experience and the agencies offering within the industry, citing case studies of work that we are proud of.

  • Takes a keen interest in Brand Experience, Design and Retail industries to build understanding and knowledge. Recognises trends and innovation in production methods and immersive technologies within Experience industries.


Your role:

  • Takes a lead role in supplier relations, briefing and management using production expertise to in turn advise clients service teams in production methods and solutions.

  • Seeks to uphold project vision in a live environment, provides alternative suitable solutions as required.

  • Able to work independently to deliver against project objectives and requirements, manages upwards for important issues the impact project success and outcomes. Works systematically throughout projects.

  • Has a firm knowledge and is able to develop an understanding of event production disciplines including; Construction, Audio Visual, Lighting, Rigging, and Broadcast.

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, plans, and processes produced by creative and suppliers as well as communicating these effectively to wider teams.

  • Builds strong relationships with wider teams, understanding their role within the overall delivery of a project.

  • Takes pride in every piece of work. Ensures that it is saved, filed and accessible for all.

  • Manages time and workload effectively to deliver against the requirements of the role.

  • Adheres to all working practices industry standards, H&S requirements RAMS, accreditations and training required for the successful delivery of live work.

Finance:

  • Understands the financial process, tracks costs against budgets ensuring that things are delivered in budget.

  • Works with suppliers and Finance team at AVA to ensure client payment terms are considered in project planning.

  • Create simple production budgets for internal approval. Does not commit to unrealistic spend or payment terms.

  • Takes a pragmatic view to fixed and operational costs and makes recommendation accordingly.

  • Able to approach suppliers and engage in financial negotiations to reach a mutually agreed cost.

  • Works in the spirit of time is money, focusing appropriate effort into tasks. Completes timesheets weekly.

  • Works collaboratively with internal and external teams, demonstrating a supportive, respectful attitude.

  • Ensures knowledge is effectively shared with other teams in the agency. Able to manage up as required, keeping in mind client and project needs.
