Senior Account Director - London / £75,000-£80,000

Hybrid: 4 days in the office/1 WFH




HUC People is working on behalf of their client to find a talented Senior Account Director to lead and nurture some of its most valuable clients. You'll be a thoroughbred of client service, clear on how to build trusted partnerships by delivering best-in-class work and identifying ways to add value to the clients and brands we work with.

To enable you in your role, you'll have a team of talented and ambitious account handlers, project managers and a senior management team that are supportive and empowering but equally not afraid to get stuck in as required.


This role will report directly to the Head of London and is a brilliant opportunity to be exposed to senior-level relationships and stakeholders,

What you'll do:


A leader within the Client Service Team, accountable for attracting, retaining, and growing one or a portfolio of clients. A strategic partner to our clients driving innovative and progressive Brand Experience solutions.


The agency:

  • Seen as an expert within Brand Experience, able to interpret and challenge client briefs to present integrated Brand Experience solutions. Talks with confidence around its merits within the marketing mix.

  • Understands how to marry the client needs and that of the agency objectives to develop innovative and successful Brand Experience solutions.


Client service:

  • The leadership of an agency team and portfolio of clients. Responsibility for the strength of client relationship(s).

  • Seeks to personally grow client and industry networks. Proactive in creating opportunities to present the agency and its service offerings.

  • Leads client development plans, strategies and initiatives that deliver on client and agency targets. Ensures client feedback and reviews occur and inform future ways of working.

  • Able to blend the operational and creative requirements of the project to bring to life the campaign vision.

  • Proficient in crafting a clear activation strategy and the internal/external skill sets required to deliver

  • Plays a significant role in pitches, building gravitas with clients, and is recognised for expertise.

  • Defines expectations for ‘Best in class' client service across the team, upskilling, training, and inducting as required. Works with the Project team to ensure work is delivered on time, target and budget.

  • Creation of process, templates, and approval of key documentation. Does not commit the agency to unrealistic timings or budget.


Finance:

  • Takes a lead in defining commercial terms with clients, producing SoW, rate cards, and budget templates.

  • Approves project budgets for client campaigns. Can advise how to better improve GP without compromising on client ROI. Bills everything that can be.

  • Able to demonstrate the value of time to protect project margins.

  • Drives commercial understanding and financial process throughout the client service team.

  • Understands the requirements of cash flow for project work, directing internal and external teams accordingly.


People:

  • Leads team members by example. Provides regular, honest feedback and direction.

  • Empowers the team to perform improving collective capabilities. Celebrates the performance of others.

  • Completes Performance Pathway meetings. An ambassador for the process within the team.

  • Acknowledges the full extent of responsibilities to create a work plan that facilitates both developmental (strategical) and operational (project) work. Provides insight and expertise to strengthen client relationships.

  • Can work with theoretical insight and information to draw recommendations.
