Senior Project Manager - London / £45,000-£48,000

Location: London Salary: £45,000-£48,000 + benefits

Hybrid: 4 days in the office/1 WFH




HUC People is working on behalf of their client to find an ambitious Senior Project Manager looking to build a career in the world of Brand Experience. What is important here is that you understand their world of live work – this role will be working closely with the client to manage the planning and implementation of their live brand experiences.

You will work directly with the Group Account Director and have the full support of the Production and Creative teams internally. This role may require some international travel.

What you'll do:


A central figure within the Client Service Team, accountable for the project team delivering best-in-class Brand Experience campaigns. Seen as a trusted partner to our clients.


The agency:

  • Able to talk confidently and with expertise about Brand Experience and its merits within the marketing mix. Understands how to translate client objectives into effective brand experience solutions.

  • Clear on Avantgardes offering and service capabilities, citing case studies of work that we are proud of.

  • Takes a keen interest in Brand Experience, Design and Retail industries to build understanding and knowledge.

Client service:

  • Leadership of a project team with overall responsibility for the project success. Defines and manages project deliverables and ROI. Does not commit the agency to unrealistic timings or budget.

  • Demonstrates credibility in all areas of project management. Establishes a team and ways of working to deliver projects to time, target, and budget. Creates and or oversees project management documentation such as timing plans, status reports, contact reports, budgets, and briefing documents.

  • Able to blend the operational and creative requirements of the project to bring the campaign vision to life.

  • Seeks to personally grow client and industry networks. Pro-active in creating opportunities to present Avantgarde and its services. Continually seeks ways to add value to client via information, service, and commercial efficiencies. A pro-active approach to client needs. Supports on existing client pitches or proposals.

  • Provides accurate information to external teams, third parties. Ensures it’s documented, saved, filed and accessible.

  • Confident with the design and creative process. Able to brief creative, design and artwork teams effectively and collaboratively. Familiar with brand guidelines and approval processes.

Finance:

  • Creates budgets for projects. Approves smaller scale budgets. Understands how to better improve GP without compromising on client ROI.

  • Follows financial processes, obtains client purchase orders before commencing significant work.

  • Tracks costs against budgets for client campaigns ensuring that things are delivered in budget. reviews budgets on a weekly basis to ensure costs are posted correctly and jobs have not gone over budget.

  • Able to demonstrate the value of time to protect project margins. Completes timesheets weekly.

  • Understands the requirements of cash flow for project work, directing internal and external teams accordingly. Communicates changes in a timely manner.

People:

  • Leads team members by example. Provides regular, honest feedback and direction. Completes Performance Pathway meetings. An ambassador the process within the team.

  • Shares expertise in the collective ambition to succeed as a team.

  • Proactively delegates workload across the team to ensure timely completion of client projects.

Lateral thinking:

  • Has one eye on the detail and the other on bigger picture, understanding and influencing the relationship between the two. Continually finding ways to improve project performance and client ROI.

  • Open to new concepts, ideas, and ways of working. Is curious about developments within industry.
